Retrieving radioactive and chemical waste from aging, underground single-shell storage tanks and transferring to newer, double-shelled tanks for safer storage is one of the biggest challenges faced in the industry. WRPS finished retrieving two of the Site’s tank farms and began retrieval of the third as its contract ended.
