An Amentum-led partnership with Atkins and subcontractor Orano, Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) was the tank operations contractor for the United States Department of Energy at Hanford in Washington state from 2008 to 2025. During its tenure, WRPS advanced the safe and efficient management, retrieval, and pretreatment of radioactive and chemical tank waste, leaving the Hanford Site better positioned to advance this noble cleanup mission to protect the public and the environment, including the Columbia River.
